Homeschool children ages 5–13 with an accompanying adult. A maximum of 25 students per class applies. |
Programs are offered most Mondays of each month, September through May, at 9:30am for the 5- to 7-year-old program, 10:45am for the 8- to 10 year-old program, and 12:00pm for the 11- to 13-year-old program. The dates are listed below. Programs are 45 minutes. |
The cost is $9 for Riverbanks members, $12 for the general public. Admission for one student and one accompanying adult is included, and covers staffing and materials. This rate applies ONLY to those taking part in the program. Regular Zoo admission rates apply to those not participating. |
Register online at least 4 days in advance of the class (the Thursday before class date). Pay the program fee ($9 Riverbanks members, $12 general public) online, print off your ticket, and show your admission ticket at any admission gate on the class date. Once you enter the Zoo on the class date, please proceed to the Education Center 10 minutes prior to the class time. The program teacher will meet you and your student(s) in the lobby of the Education Building, where your admission ticket will be collected by the instructor. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

| Animal ears are all the better to hear, feel, and cool off with! Dolphins hear with their jaws. Elephants "hear" with their feet and trunks. A cricket's ears are located on its front legs. Come hear all the crazy ways animals use their ears! |
