Boo at the Zoo to Take Place October 19-30
[Columbia, SC] - Tickets are now on sale for Columbia’s most popular Halloween spook-tacular. Boo at the Zoo – brought to you by McDonald’s – returns to Riverbanks Zoo and Garden on Friday, October 19.
Riverbanks is once again treating guests to 12 wild nights of family-friendly festivities. Each evening features a trick-or-treat trail with candy stations dispersed throughout the park. Other activities include Frankenstein’s Foam Zone where kids of all ages can frolic in a sea of soapy suds, a mysterious maze of friendly ghosts and goblins, a nightly costume parade, and of course Mummy’s Eeky Freaky DJ Dance Party where Boo-goers can boogie the night away.
"Boo at the Zoo is not only a fun way to celebrate Halloween, it also provides families with a safe environment for trick-or-treating,” said Lochlan Baskin, events manager at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden.
In addition, Riverbanks will once again mesmerize the crowd with a little Halloween hocus-pocus. Moonlight Magic with Ray is back by popular demand. Also, for an additional charge, guests can enjoy a marshmallow roast, a haunted carousel ride, a spin on the spooky Spots and Stripes Railroad or scale the Witch’s Cauldron climbing wall.
Boo at the Zoo will take place – rain or shine – October 19-30 from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Trick-or-treating is reserved for kids 12 and under. Costumes are encouraged. Adults may also wear costumes, but will not be admitted with masks that cover the face.
Tickets are $6 for members and $8 for the general public. Guests should purchase their tickets in advance online at www.riverbanks.org.
