| Riverbanks Zoo and Garden Opens Doors to Richland and Lexington Residents |
|
[Columbia, SC] - In January and February of each year, Riverbanks Zoo and Garden thanks residents of Richland and Lexington counties for their support throughout the year with free admission on Fridays.
"We're glad to be able to offer this thank you to people living in Richland and Lexington counties," said Satch Krantz, executive director of Riverbanks Zoo and Garden.
Riverbanks' winter hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Animals are often their most active during the cold weather months and an array of indoor exhibits like Riverbanks' Bird House, Aquarium Reptile Complex, Gorilla Base Camp and Koala Knockabout give guests lots to do indoors.
Richland and Lexington county residents should bring a driver's license or other proof of residency to take advantage of the Free Fridays program.
