[Columbia, SC] - Riverbanks Zoo and Garden will launch its very own weblog beginning July 14, allowing the public the opportunity to connect with zoo keepers and horticulturists and catch a glimpse of an average day throughout the Zoo and Garden before and after each guest arrives.
"We are excited about the ZooBlog giving the public a unique view of the daily interaction that occurs between the keeper and the animals," said Satch Krantz, Riverbanks Zoo and Garden's executive director. "Our keepers are eager to showcase our animal and plant collection and further educate the public."
Animal and plant lovers can bookmark www.riverbanks.org on their computer and click on the ZooBlog link on the homepage to access the Riverbanks ZooBlog. Contributors are staff in the Zoo and Garden and their entries are logged in the order they're submitted, so you'll find the most recent ones at the top. If you have a specific interest, you can also select a category from the list on the left or search using key words. In addition, the public can further connect with the keepers by posting comments in regards to entries posted.
Whether you visit the ZooBlog once a day or twice a week, this continuously evolving weblog will provide the public with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at all of Riverbanks' latest happenings. Entries will range from general announcements about upcoming programs to exciting daily accounts from our own zoo keepers.
