[Columbia, SC] - What: Spring Forward for amphibians at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden this Sunday. During the switch to Daylight Saving Time on March 8, zoos and aquariums accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) will hold events and activities to educate the public about amphibian conservation. As an AZA-accredited institution, Riverbanks is hosting Spring Forward events to help raise amphibian awareness in the community, pass along a positive conservation message and share ways that local citizens can help make a difference in this critical conservation effort. Guests should be prepared for lots of froggy fun: · Frog Jump – Can you leap as far as a frog? You’ll find out! · Calling All Frogs – Can you guess which frog is making that call? · Frog Hop – Just like musical chairs, but with lily pads. · Toad Abode – Make a home for the toads that live in your backyard. · Let’s Croak About It – Keeper talks at 11am and 2pm complete with a special guest.
