| Experience Riverbanks Zoo through the eyes of the animal care staff. Walk on the “wild side” as you get an inside look at some out-of-sight places. Explore the animal hospital, take a peek inside the animal kitchen, and meet a live animal! Adventure Tours allow participants to marvel at the unique challenges of animal care and the amazing efforts that go into creating and sustaining a world-class zoo. This fun-filled tour ends with a tasty treat. |

Tours take place on Saturdays and last one hour. (Wear walking shoes!) |

Tour participants will meet a tour guide in Carousel Plaza. To ensure the best quality experience, we ask that participants arrive on time. |

All tours include a live animal encounter. |

Tours are designed for adults and older children. Recommended age range is 8 and up; all children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. For safety reasons, infants may not participate in behind-the-scenes tours. |

Due to the unpredictability of animals, tour experiences may vary. Participants must abide by staff instructions at all times. |

Can young children take the tour?
Tours are designed for adults and older children. Recommended age range is 8 and up. The information and areas visited during the tours are recommended for an older audience, so young children may not be as interested during the tour. All children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Infants may not participate in behind-the-scenes tours. |

Will we touch an animal?
All tours include an animal encounter. Animals may change weekly, depending on availability. |

Do I need to purchase tickets ahead of time?
Tours can accommodate 12 guests. Due to space limitations, we recommend that you purchase tickets online prior to the tour date. For more information on the day of your visit, please stop by one of the ticket booths. |

I’ve preregistered. Where do I get my tickets?
Once you've registered online, you will receive an email confirmation with a link to your eTickets. Please print your tickets and bring them with you to the tour. Meet the tour guide on the day of the tour in the Carousel Plaza, and be prepared to show the tour guide your ID that matches the name on the tickets. |

Where is Carousel Plaza?
Carousel Plaza is located beside the Koala Knockabout exhibit and Boomerang Gift Shop. Seating is available in the plaza. |
