Siamangs mate for life, and cooperatively raise children. For the first few years of life, the mother takes care of her infant. After a few years, the father helps his infant develop social and physical skills it will need as an adult.

Siamangs have a wide diet. They mainly eat fruit, but will also consume leaves and proteins, like small birds or eggs.
